Thoughts for the Day-Psalm 104

Hi Everybody-Lauri here.  We are still adjusting to the thought of having a blog to deal with, so I thought I might actually post something.

Today I was reading Psalm 104, and some things just jump out at me.  The last couple of verses are some that I frequently hear people quote or use, and I agree that they are really powerful overall verses to help with my attitude from day to day:
[33] I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.
[34] My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the LORD.
[35] Let the sinners be consumed out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless thou the LORD, O my soul. Praise ye the LORD.
Man! If I could just remember to sing of the Lord first every day, then my "meditation would be sweet" because that would set the tone for my day.  I do read the Bible in the morning, but is that enough?   I know these facts...why are they so hard to put into practice?

Even more interesting though is reading these verses in light of the rest of Psalm 104.  It describes God's creation in the light of His mighty power-the power He had to create, the power He shows in sustaining us, really His awesome power over us at all times.  Since He is giving life every second-THAT is why I should be singing to Him as long as I live.  It puts everything in perspective for me.

Thanks for reading!  Lauri
